A practical buyer’s guide: nine checks for any free khata app, including Android, Urdu and offline support, and how Munshi measures up.

Munshi vs Easy Khata: which udhaar app fits a Pakistani shop?

Munshi and Easy Khata both record customer credit on a phone, and neither one is automatically the right shop app. Munshi, made by DIGIT, is a free-to-download khata with Urdu statements, a cash book and WhatsApp reminders you send yourself. Easy Khata, from Bazaar Technologies, describes itself as a free Pakistan udhaar book with SMS and WhatsApp reminders, PDF reports and Sindhi as well as Urdu.

Munshi vs DigiKhata: khata app or a wider business suite?

Munshi and DigiKhata both keep a digital khata for Pakistani shops, and they are built for different jobs. Munshi, from DIGIT, is a free-to-download ledger for customer and supplier credit, cash, bank and expenses, with Urdu statements and reminders you send yourself. DigiKhata’s Play listing also describes invoices, stock with a barcode scanner, and a staff book.

Munshi vs Rupin (formerly Udhaar Book): ledger or payments app?

Rupin, formerly Udhaar Book, and Munshi both record khata, and Rupin’s listing goes much further into payments. Munshi, from DIGIT, is a free udhaar, cash, bank and expense app with Urdu statements and reminders you send yourself. Rupin’s Play listing describes a business wallet, POS, inventory, invoices and payroll, and says the wallet sits under State Bank rules for electronic money.

Munshi vs Apna Munshi: two different products that share a word

Munshi and Apna Munshi are different products from different makers, even though Apna Munshi’s own site says its app is called Munshi inside. Munshi, published by DIGIT, is the free khata at munshi.com.pk, Play package pk.digit.munshikhata, listed on the App Store as Munshi Khata App. Apna Munshi is a brand of MGH at apnamunshi.com, with paid modules after a 15-day trial.

Munshi vs Khatabook: a Pakistan khata or an India business app?

Munshi and Khatabook both replace a paper credit register, and they are aimed at different countries. Munshi, made by DIGIT for Pakistan, keeps udhaar, cash, bank and expenses in Urdu or English and is free to download. Khatabook’s own listing presents an India app with GST bills, UPI collection, inventory and business loans, and the Play page says it contains ads.

Munshi vs OkCredit: free khata, or a paid India ledger?

OkCredit and Munshi both track who owes the shop, and their prices work differently. Munshi, from DIGIT, is free to download, shows a few small ads, and keeps Urdu or English statements with reminders you send yourself. OkCredit’s own pricing page lists a free Basic plan with ads and paid plans from ₹30 to ₹99 for 30 days, and its Play listing is built around UPI and Indian languages.

Munshi vs OkCredit vs Vyapar: which is better for small shops?

Munshi is a free khata for udhaar, cash and expenses in Urdu or English. OkCredit is an India-focused ledger with paid plans, UPI and GST bills. Vyapar is billing, inventory and GST software with a free trial and paid plans. QuickBooks is full accounting software, built around invoices, bank feeds and tax-ready reports, and it is a paid subscription. Munshi is a free khata app for udhaar, cash and expenses that works offline and in Urdu. A counter shop that mostly sells on credit usually needs the second; a business that invoices and files returns may need the first.
